Wood Slat Accent Wall
I’d been wanting to try a wood slat wall for a minute and finally just said f*ck it and went for it.
Before I touched anything, I ran through the entire process in my head about a thousand times.
I wanted it clean especially since this wasn’t even my house. No room to wing it on this one.
I picked up the panels from Lowe’s, grabbed black drywall screws so everything would blend in, and focused on taking my time with the measurements.

Nothing fancy, just slowing down and making sure each piece landed where it was supposed to.

The only part that really tested my patience was custom-fitting the last few slats.
I had to custom cut each panel to make sure it fit flush with the wall.

That’s where things always tighten up and small mistakes start showing.
I took my time, made small adjustments, and resisted the urge to rush it.
And honestly… it came out nice.
Light wood paired with plants instantly changed the whole feel of the space. Calm, clean, and exactly what I was hoping for.

Lately, dialing in my systems has made projects like this way smoother than they used to be. It still took plenty of mistakes to get here, probably about a thousand but that’s part of the process.
On to the next one.
