BECOMING

I graduated from CSULB in 2012.

Around that time, fitness had become a huge part of my life.

It gave me something I felt like I had been searching for

A sense of Identity.

The only issue was that I had no idea what to do with it.

Luckily, I knew Randall Pich from class and we always got along.

At the time, he was leaving Bally’s and starting his own private training business.

Meanwhile, I was sitting there trying to figure out what life after college even looked like.

So I asked him if I could shadow him for a bit…

just to learn.

That small opportunity changed everything.

But even more importantly…

I finally had someone believe in me.

So I kept showing up.

Most days I felt defeated.

I had no idea where this would take me but I didn't really have too many other options.

Eventually I gained some momentum.

Then 2013 came along

From all-nighters in the library basement studying for finals…

to graduating CSULB together

Me and Jandar always stayed close through the years.

Somehow, our paths always lined up exactly when they were supposed to.

So we built something from nothing.

And slowly…

things started to move.

People started noticing.

Our name started spreading quickly.

We began to really gain momentum.

We were growing at a rate we never expected.

We didn't have too much guidance but we just knew we could always bring a crowd together for a good cause.

Before we even had time to realize it, we had outgrew the space we were in.

It was time to start looking for our own location.

We were 27.

No real business experience.

No track record.

And every landlord we talked to?

Not a chance.

After a while…

it started to feel like it wasn’t going to happen.

Like maybe we weren’t ready.

Then out of nowhere…

an opportunity came.

4812 Paramount Blvd
Lakewood CA 90712

We took a shot.

And somehow…

they took a shot on us too.

We signed the lease.

One month.

That’s all we had.

No blueprint.

Just learning as we went.

And from there…

things started coming together.

Things were getting real.

Suddenly, we were ready to open our gym.

October 16, 2016

Our wildest Dreams came true.

Over time, we became more than just a gym.

We became a place people could belong.

And somehow…

the kids who came from nothing…

actually built something real.

We were living the Dream.
